This is one of those permathreads that keep coming up. I had a conversation with a potential contributor today, and there were some basic eclipse questions:

  • What is Parallel IP
  • How long does is it take?
  • How do you start a new project?
  • What does it mean to be an Incubating Project?
Many of these are answered on the Eclipse Wiki, however it can be difficult to find the good stuff. Fortunately, most of the relevant information has been tagged in the "How to Contribute" category. If you are a project that may be considering moving to eclipse, or are a contributor thinking about helping an eclipse project out, then the How to Contribute set of articles are a good starting point.
